Using Props to Inspire Movement
Hello friends! In today's installment of the video blog, I share some super-cheap, easy to make, and fun props that you can use to inspire movement in your little ones. Two of my favorites that I've been using in class a lot lately are Rainbow Rings and Shaky Eggs. To make my Rainbow Rings, I used shower curtain rings from the Dollar Store and glued them shut. (I prefer to use hot glue for projects like this because I feel like it holds really well). Then I tied on some ribbon in rainbow colors, making sure to knot it really well. The Shaky Eggs are just plastic eggs that I have filled with rice and glued shut (again with hot glue). Take a look at the video for ideas on how to move with them, or, even better, just give them to your children, see how they move with them, and follow their lead! Props can add a little more fun and excitement to traditional yoga poses, and there's no wrong way to do it. I hope you are able to give it a try. Let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below! Have a great week!
